This is a case of a female child aged 12 years bearing the name baby K.K. who was brought to us with a brain tumor of pituitary body in an advanced stage with a probable life span of 3 months and was denied treatments by neurologists and ophthalmologists.
ABOUT THE BRAIN TUMOR
Tumor compressing the pituitary tissue inhibits their secretions making the individual fat and sluggish and invariably amenorrhoeac(absent menses). Pressure over brain tissue initially causes severe headache and later visual changes like hemi-anopia, squint etc. and eventually epilepsy (fits) owing to raised intracranial pressure.

This is a most unfortunate occasion of development of tumor at an early age, far before the regular incidence. The patient was brought to us with intolerable headache day & night, continuous vomiting along with other typical symptoms of sluggishness, obesity, retarded growth, squint and 8 months amenorrhoea etc.,. The digestive capacity being so weak, initially, the child was unable to consume 200ml milk (1/4th milk and 3/4th parts of water) and was given 300 ml milk totally (50 ml with 250 ml of water) whole day. Now she is able to take almost all kinds of foods including non-vegetarian now and then without any digestive disturbance. The agonizing headache & strabismus of eyes relieved totally and menses is appearing regularly at 35-40 days interval.

This is a case of recurrent dislocation of shoulder joint since 5 years in a patient named Mr. A.N. of age 34 years which started in his 29th year after an accident.

This is a condition which arises from relaxation of musculature with loss of tonicity of ligaments, tendons and muscles in a particular part. The patient, who is running a provision store and with family history of liver cancer to his brother at 37 years of age, used to suffer from dislocation with pain initially on lifting heavy bags. Later the dislocation turned out to be a painless affair suggesting its chronic and incurable nature. Gradually it started to occur even from trifling causes. After a treatment of 1 year span there was never an occasion of dislocation for the past 6 years even on lifting heavy bags.

This is one of the many cases of very widely and rapidly increasing disease of anxiety neurosis in a patient named Sk.N of age 38 years who used to suffer from anxiety for various causes and was kept on sedatives like alprazolam, diazepam etc. for 3 years which resulted in many side effects.
ABOUT ANXIETY NEUROSIS
Anxiety neurosis is characterized by exaggerated feelings of anxiety or apprehension, out of proportion to the exciting cause. The patients are afraid to open letters lest the contents convey bad news, unusual anxiety about trifling health disturbances of their own or near and dear. Fear of open & closed spaces, heights, darkness, misfortune, impending disease, journeys etc. The physical symptoms include that of palpitation, sweating, trembling of limbs, stammering, frequent urge for urination & stool particularly on listening to bad or unexpected news and before appearing on stage or any presentations etc. Sweating of palms is one of the earliest signs of future anxiety neurosis.

Most of the other systems of medicine view mental diseases as an independent entity without any relation with the other bodily complaints. But according to homoeopathy mental diseases do not, however constitute a class of diseases distinctly separated from all others, since in all the other so called physical diseases (whether it is acute or chronic), the state of mind and its disposition is always altered without exception. Therefore we will never be able to cure conformably to nature that is to say, homoeopathically, if we do not in every case of disease, make note of and use the mental symptoms in the selection of remedy.

This is a typical case with most of the characteristic physical and mental symptoms attended with a great peculiarity, that, all the above symptoms arise from indigestion and disturbance in gastric function. It occurs as 1. regular bleeding as in frequent, early menses with profuse bleeding for prolonged period from failure of constriction of uterine blood vessels, failure in clotting mechanism etc.,. 2. Irregular bleeding seen in puberty, pre-menopause, obesity, PCOD from endocrinal dysfunction and metropathia haemorrhagica.

As per Homoeopathy the DUB owes its background to congestive nature in an individual which can be dated back to childhood in the form of inflammatory complaints with fever, such as cold, bronchitis, tonsillitis, hepatitis, appendicitis etc., and later to headache on exposure to sun, copious bleeding during menses, profuse flowing milk from breast during lactation period (galactorhoea). Most importantly if the DUB be not cured, under genuine homoeopathic treatment, and left to its own course or treated by hormones and such other conventional methods, the case gradually progresses towards chronic hypertension.
IMPROVEMENTS IN OUR TREATMENT
The Patient used to suffer from a condition called metropathia haemorrhagica (schroeders disease) characterized by prolonged & copious bleeding following a period of one or two months of amenorrhea (absent menses). Owing to this profuse blood loss the individual turned out to be highly anaemic (hemoglobin 34%) and also used to suffer from migraine (vascular headache). After a tough phase of 2 months of earnest homoeopathic treatment, the patient being kept under absolute bed rest for anaemic conditions, gradually recovered. The menses was regularized with moderate bleeding, hemoglobin levels improved with simultaneous alleviation of chronic complaint of migraine.

This is a case of sciatica in a person aged 51 yrs and named Mr. D.S.R in the profession of cultivation.
ABOUT SCIATICA
It is an inflammation of sciatic nerve usually marked by pain and tenderness along the course of nerve in the thigh and leg. It occurs from pressure over the nerve roots where it comes out from spinal column owing to injury, infection or degenerative changes resulting in disc bulge or even disc prolapse in the advanced stages.
HOMOEOPATHIC OUTLOOK
As per Homoeopathy this is one of the many kinds of neuralgias occurring all over the body such as cervical neuralgia in the back of neck, brachial neuralgia in hands, pudendal neuralgia in genitals, supra and infra-orbital above and below eyes, migraine in head, facial and trigeminal in the face, teeth etc. As is frequently said and regularly done in scientific homoeopathy the neuralgic tendency should be dealt with in an individual, if that is not done or surgery is opted, it will change the part and appear in a transformed manner in a more important part, the tendencies not being changed radically.

The individual consulted us with immobilizing pain from sciatica and lumber disc prolapse which remained uncured even after months of absolute rest and conventional medication. ABOUT FISSURE IN ANUS
This is a longitudinal ulcer in the anal canal posterior. The symptoms associated are bright red streak of blood with the passage of stool and severe pain after passing stool and spasm of sphincters.

As per homoeopathy it is a kind of crack on the skin, namely, the internal skin i.e. mucous membrane. It is as if a crack of skin under the heels but appearing in an internal and more important part which suggests deep seated health factors like tuberculosis in the family tree. Owing to poor healing capacity it remains uncured. In homoeopathy where the health standards are improved on a whole, the healing powers of the system are also improved, thereby healing the fissure in anus and like conditions as fistulas etc.

The Patient approached us with Fissure in anus and complaints of blood streaked stool, intolerable burning pain after passing stool particularly after few sleepless nights and exertion. This is a case of hypothyroidism in a female aged 30 years and name Mrs. D.N.
ABOUT HYPOTHYROIDISM
Hypothyroidism is a condition arising from deficient secretion of thyroid hormones, resulting in a lowered basal metabolism. The symptom picture of hypothyroidism can be best explained by the sluggishness of almost all functions, a result of lowered metabolism. They are lowered appetite or hunger, indigestion and constipation from sluggish intestinal motility; undue sleepiness day and night from sluggish circulation to brain; delayed menses; sluggish mental and physical activity manifesting as heaviness and tiredness with aversion to work; sluggish burning of fat resulting in weight gain and obesity; sluggish activity of skin expressed in the form of dry skin and hair owing to deficient sweating; depressed sexual functioning etc. There may be associated swelling of thyroid gland i.e. goitre.
SURGERY AND ITS CONSEQUENCES
Surgery is advised when there is swelling of thyroid gland i.e. goitre, particularly performed, in colloid goitre, tumours and hyperthyroidism not responding to iodine treatment and anti-thyroid drugs. But the consequences are bound to occur, though supplemented from outside, as the thyroid hormones are very vital in maintaining the basal metabolism. One of such miserable complications which profoundly affects the quality of life following thyroidectomy is myasthenia gravis which features abnormal fatigue when manual work is done as for example a house wife begins to drop trays towards the end of the day, a traveller drags his legs as he walks or climbs stairs, a lecturer’s voice may fall to a whisper at the end of his discourse, eye lids start to droop down, dropping of jaw, head falls back or forwards on watching cinema or T.V. for long periods and general muscular fatigue etc.

Most of the other systems think of supplementing the hormones in these cases which is not quite a wise thing to do as it always carries the risk of over or under dosage on account of failure in assessing the exact condition each time which varies basing on the physical and psychological factors at that time. Homoeopathy thinks of stimulating the system to secrete the adequate quantity of desired hormones instead of crude supplementation of them which is a fallacious approach as far as principles are concerned. In most of the cases hypothyroidism is rich of deep seated complaints like cancers in the family history. Also associated with it are white discharge or leucorrhoea, delayed menses from polycystic ovarian syndrome (PCOS) and history of abortions. The patient approached us with classical symptoms of hypothyroidism such as overpowering sleepiness day and night, delayed menses by 2-3 months, sluggish digestion with sour belchings and constipation for hard stool along with dust allergy and migraine (sun) headaches which were cured completely after a treatment of 2 years without necessity of using eltroxin, thyronorm and such other thyroid hormone drugs.

A patient named Sk. S of age 31 years approached us with swelling of tonsils studded with ulcers.
ABOUT TONSILLITIS
When grossly classified, tonsillitis occurs in 3 varieties. They are 1) Simple tonsillitis as a result of cold catching usually in children 2) Suppurative tonsillitis with pus formation usually in adults and 3) Ulcerative tonsillitis with ulcers over it also seen in adults.
SURGERY AND ITS CONSEQUENCES
Firstly we should know what necessitates removal of tonsils. With every catching of cold, the tonsils get inflamed attended by the classical features of pain, swelling, redness. On usage of anti-inflammatory and anti-pyretic drugs each time all the signs of inflammation subside except the swelling. On a fresh attack of cold, the already enlarged tonsils will redden up, swell further and become painful and the conventional treatments leave the tonsils more enlarged than the previous cold. Like this way the tonsils keep growing and at one stage, surgery is advised. Apart from inability to remove the inflammatory tendency and further leading to other more serious inflammatory conditions like appendicitis, hepatitis and pancreatitis etc., surgery also results in other serious complication like impaired hearing, migraine(sun) headaches, disturbances in menses etc.
HOMOEOPATHIC OUTLOOK
The genuine homoeopathy treatment, firstly, does not allow the tonsils to grow to such an extent so as to undergo surgery when treated in the acute phases and even in chronic cases where tonsils are already enlarged, under conventional treatments, the homoeopathic treatments are focused on reducing the swelling medically rather than resorting to surgery. Thus the homoeopathic treatments prevent the cases going into serious complications.
IMPROVEMENTS IN OUR TREATMENT
The patient approached us with pain in throat on swallowing liquids from enlarged tonsils. On examination it is found to be full of ulcers. A peculiarity found is that the enlarged tonsils caused impaired hearing (partial deafness). Apart from reduction in size of tonsils and ulcers over it and improvement in partial deafness, the patient observed disappearance of a small spot of white colour (vitiligo or leucoderma) over thigh under the ideal homoeopathic treatment.
CONCLUSION
This is a case which highlights the integrated approach of genuine homoeopathic treatment which treats and cures the patient as a whole i.e., enlarged tonsils, deafness along with leucodermic spots.
This is case of leucoderma in a child of 10 years and named S.R.S. resident of nellore who is suffering from de-pigmentation of skin with white coloured patches covering almost 80% of the skin over chest, abdomen, back, upper and lower limbs.
ABOUT LEUCODERMA IN GENERAL
This is a gradually advancing disease characterized by de-pigmentation of skin which starts in spots and advances further by coalescing of spots and turning into patches. As per homoeopathy this is a deep seated, one sided diseases (along with psoriasis) with its depth and obstinacy equivalent to cancer. The only difference between them being, cancer kills the individual at some stage and leucoderma is never a life threatening disease.
ABOUT OUR CASE
This patient had been brought to us when 80% of the skin had turned to white colour patches. The family history of epilepsy (fits), mental retardation, lung & uterine cancers in grandparents generation is strongly supportive and self-sufficient to produce such a condition at the age of just 10 years, without any medical option and leaving no scope for surgeries like skin grafting. The white patches all over the body now turned to her normal skin colour after a careful and research oriented treatment of about 31/2 years.

This is a case of Crohn’s disease, who is under treatment, to a patient named Mrs. S.Y.V. age 28 years, resident of Texas, America diagnosed 2 years ago and was under allopathic treatment viz., ramicade infusions taken periodically in 6-8 weeks span.
ABOUT CROHN’S DISEASE IN GENERAL.
It is a chronic inflammatory intestinal disease usually affecting the ileum and colon characterized by frequent attacks of diarrhoea, severe abdominal pain, anorexia, weight loss. As per homoeopathy these cases on suppression of diarrhoea tends to land into T.B. This fact is being confirmed indirectly in other systems as side effects to treatments.
ABOUT OUR CASE
This patient approached us with symptoms of repeated diarrhoea, severe rectal and abdominal pain, loss of appetite and weight, periodically as soon as the influence of ramicade over her starts to fade. Excellent improvements followed soon after an initial episode of diarrhoea of 15 days duration under homoeopathic treatment. The patient gradually increased in weight with noticeable improvement in appetite. The episodes of diarrhoea decreased gradually in terms of frequency, intensity and duration. These changes are no less a miracle that too within a span of just 8 months treatment.
CLINICAL IMPROVEMENTS
Outstanding improvements were recorded within a period of just 8 months. C-Reactive protein (normal CRP levels less than 5mg/l) were brought down from 148 mg/l to 15.3 mg/l and kept under control. ESR (normal value less than 20 mm per hour) came from 110 mm per hour to 53 mm per hour. There are good improvements in Haemoglobin, platelet count, MCV, MCH, haematocrit, iron binding capacity, ferritin etc.

This is a case of backwardness of speech in a boy of 7 years and named N.J. He has been denied speech in some reputed hospitals of Chennai. At the time he was brought to us 2 years back he was unable to speak at least two letter words. He is a child of Refractory nature and profound mental dullness.
ABOUT THE DELAYED SPEECH IN GENERAL
Usually children learn to speak by the end of 12 months. If there is any backwardness of speech one needs to suspect defective hearing, tongue-tie etc. On ruling out these factors one needs to think of general backwardness in development following severe illness such as chronic diarrhoea or rickets and finally if this is not the case, there is strong possibility of mental backwardness.

People superficially think of factors like lack of people talking around them to be responsible for delayed speech. They don’t see any abnormality as the child, in other aspects, seems to be intelligent and active. As per homoeopathy we compare the child’s milestones to their parents. If the child has delayed milestones as compared to his mother and father, it is an undoubted case of mental or general backwardness in development with defective hereditary factors. Even though the child may learn to speak as he grows older, the feature of backwardness in development runs in the constitution which, unless treated and cleared through homoeopathy, may reflect in future academics.

As said above the child has defective heredity as worst as that the child’s father had died of bone cancer at the age of 25 years. There is backwardness both mentally and physically in the child. No control upon urine and stools even at the age of 7 years. She has been suffering from leucorrhoea, profuse menstrual bleeding, headaches from emotional excitement and physical exertion, dust allergy and poly arthritis. She had been bestowed with rapid recovery from all these complaints and she conceived within a span of 8 months under genuine homoeopathic treatment. Now she is blessed with two children who are also enjoying good health along with her.

This is a case which exemplifies how gently and rapidly homoeopathy cures such cases, without the use of hormones and not resorting to surgery.
